Profuomo strives for a better, responsible industry. Together with suppliers, specialist partners and the rest of the industry, Profuomo works to create better conditions for people, animals and the environment throughout the supply chain. The Profuomo sustainability strategy is based on four pillars: establishing a responsible supply chain, making better products, investing in people's welfare and giving back to society. Profuomo has a wide range of sustainable clothing. Most of these clothing items contain different sustainability labels, such as the Better Cotton Initiative, Responsible w\Wool Standard and Responsible Down Standard.
Better Cotton Initiative
The Better Cotton Initiative exists to improve the global cotton production for both the people who produce it and the environment in which it grows and for a better future for the industry. A large number of Profuomo products do have the Better Cotton Initiative label such as the entire sport collection which includes various sweatpants, t-shirts and jumpers. Besides the sport collection, a part of the chino collection of Profuomo also contains the Better Cotton Initiative label.
Global Recycle Standard
Products with this label are made with at least 50% recycled material and every stage of the supply chain is independently certified to ensure environmentally and socially responsible production right through to the finished product.
Responsible Wool Standard
The Responsible Wool standard ensures a holistic respect for animal welfare and responsible management and protection of the land. Products with this label contain only certified wool. A number of Profuomo pullovers contain the Mulesing Free Wool label.
Leather Working Group
Products with this label contain leather sourced from certified eco-friendly leather manufacturers. A number of Profuomo belts have the Leather Working Group label.
Organic Cotton Label
Products with this label are made with a minimum of 50% organic cotton, which is produced without the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilisers or genetically modified seeds.
